In this independent role, you contribute to the smooth running of legal processes within a dynamic local government organization. You are given the space to bring order to complex issues, and your expertise directly contributes to a future-proof organization and a stronger legal foundation. Your impact is immediately visible by analyzing and improving existing processes.
What you will do.
- Analyze existing legal work processes and design clear improvement proposals for, among other things, objections, complaints, and subsidy processes.
- Develop and describe updated processes and prepare a renewed annual report for the Objections Committee.
- Advise on complex legal issues and directly contribute to effectively reducing the existing legal workload.
- Translate into a professional setup of legal control, including clear quality agreements, assessment moments, and risk management.
- Develop and implement a safeguarding proposal to sustainably embed the improved legal processes within the organization.

What they ask
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level in Law.
- Minimum of 6 years of work experience in the past 10 years as a legal advisor within a government organization.
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience with legal advice within a political-administrative environment.
- Worked in the past 5 years as a general legal counsel for a local government of comparable size.
- Strong skills in modern office systems.
- Excellent command of the Dutch language.
