This temporary position (9 months, with possibility of extension) is within an international player in garden care products.
- You will be responsible for the correct processing of purchase and sales invoices and the follow-up of suppliers and payments.
- You will work closely with the Accounting Team and support the monthly and annual closings.
- Depending on your interests and experience, you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into various accounting and financial processes.
What you will do.
- Process and check purchase and sales invoices and ensure correct and timely booking.
- Occasionally book and follow up on bank transactions.
- Follow up on outstanding suppliers and monitor payment terms and daily cash position.
- Weekly preparation and discussion of a payment proposal for suppliers.
- Support monthly closing, preparation of annual closing, and annual audit.
- Perform various accounting and administrative tasks, such as VAT declarations, reporting, and statistical declarations.
- Contribute to efficient and correct financial processes and actively think about possible improvements.
Profile
- Relevant financial background and good accounting foundation (Bachelor in Accountancy-Taxation or equivalent knowledge through experience).
- First work experience or internship in accounting.
- Knowledge of current Belgian VAT legislation. Knowledge of French legislation is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Dutch, French, and English.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with MD365 and SAP is an advantage.
- Accurate, structured, detail-oriented, and methodical.
- Able to organize work independently, set priorities, take responsibility, monitor deadlines, and efficiently plan and follow up on tasks.
- Engaged and proactive, willing to contribute to process improvements and open to expanding knowledge.
