A client, active in the meat processing industry, is looking for reinforcement for a site. The company belongs to a family group with years of experience in Flanders and Wallonia.
What you will do. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing existing production processes with a focus on by-products. You will work with a colleague Production Manager to optimize the production site with a view to further capacity growth.
- Daily management: You will manage approximately 10 line supervisors, communicate frequently with employees, follow up on them, and coach them. You anticipate and ensure maximum employee satisfaction.
- Planning and work distribution: Based on ongoing orders and requests, you ensure sufficient staffing in all departments and efficient work. This includes collecting data and mapping production schedules. You act as the link between sales and production.
- Process optimization/data analysis: You assimilate all processes, further develop desired procedures, evaluate them, and adjust where necessary in terms of cutting yields. You thus promote operational efficiency and strengthen competitive advantage.
- Facility management and technical equipment maintenance: You closely monitor all hygiene rules as well as the flawless operation of machines. Sufficient technical insight is expected to take the necessary measures.
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a manager in the meat processing, large-scale kitchen, or convenience food sector.
- Analytical skills.
- Relevant work experience in process optimization in the food industry.
- Perfect command of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
- Experience with MS Office applications, such as Word and Excel.
