Team Leader Physical Development Unit

What you will do. Central to the Physical Development unit is sustainable spatial planning. This includes, among other things, the housing task, vital rural areas, climate adaptation, and energy transition. The unit consists of three teams: Spatial Development, Sustainable Development, and Programming and Management. You will lead the professionals of the Programming and Management and Sustainable Development teams.

Within these teams, approximately 50 employees work on the development of core areas and rural areas. The team leader is integrally responsible for the results of these two teams, including content and personnel management.

  • Organizing and executing the daily management of the team
  • Conducting regular work and progress meetings
  • Monitoring work distribution, priorities
  • Carefully handling political-administrative processes
  • Ensuring continuity in dossiers towards the board, residents, and chain partners
  • Ensuring good coordination within and outside the physical/spatial domain

Profile

  • Relevant education and HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level
  • Experience in a political-administrative environment and ability to operate effectively within it, with an eye for both administrative and political interests as well as network partners
  • Work experience in a similar role in the physical/spatial domain
  • Ability to lead across the full breadth of the physical/spatial domain

  • Demonstrable work experience in a political-administrative environment
  • Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
  • Demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years as a team leader within the physical and/or spatial domain at a municipality with up to 50,000 inhabitants
