Cloud Engineer

A large part of the IT infrastructure still runs on-premise, while the Azure environment is ready for the next step. As a Cloud Engineer, you keep both worlds stable and secure and help further professionalize the cloud environment with Infrastructure as Code. This way, you work on a future-proof IT environment for education and research within a public educational institution.
What you will do.
- Manage and further develop on-premise and Azure environments.
- Resolve incidents and implement changes that directly contribute to reliable service delivery.
- Document Azure setup in Bicep or Terraform.
- Build CI/CD pipelines.
- Gradually convert existing resources to Infrastructure as Code.
- Collaborate with fellow administrators and architects on smart improvements in infrastructure, security, and compliance.
- Take initiative, propose new ideas, and apply your technical expertise for innovative cloud development.
Profile
- Bachelor's level of thinking and working.
- Minimum five years of experience in managing, developing, and troubleshooting on-premise and Azure environments.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure networks, and cloud security.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep, Terraform, or ARM) and familiarity with Git and CI/CD processes.
- Preferably certified, for example, AZ-104 and AZ-305 (AZ-400 or Terraform Associate is a plus).
- Experience with TOPdesk and ITIL/ISM is a plus.
- Proactive and critical attitude.
- Ability to clearly explain technical issues to colleagues and stakeholders.
Practical
- IT services are based on ISM (ITIL) and work is done according to Agile and Scrum.
- Automation and Infrastructure as Code are central themes.
