Workload Planner
A government organization, a collaboration of municipalities, is looking for a temporary colleague for the ICT Management department. The department needs more insight into the current and future workload in relation to the available capacity. The assignment is to make the workload and capacity within ICT Management transparent and to establish a structural working method for workload and capacity planning.
What you will do.
- Inventory and structure the current ongoing and planned work within ICT Management
- Map outstanding tasks, assignments, requests
- Determine and/or retrieve hour estimates and required capacity per activity or assignment
- Inventory the available capacity within the team
- Compare the required capacity against the available capacity
- Calculate and make expected lead times transparent
- Identify capacity bottlenecks, backlogs, and risks for planning
- Make transparent the consequences of new tasks and changed priorities for capacity and lead time
- Prepare and maintain workload, capacity, and planning reports
- Periodically update workload, capacity, and expected lead times
- Discuss analyses and findings with team leadership and involved employees
- Support in setting priorities and drawing up a realistic plan
- Document principles, hour estimates, capacity data, and the planning methodology used
- Set up and document a structural and transferable working method that allows the department to independently monitor workload and capacity after the assignment
What they ask
- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
- Demonstrable work experience with planning, capacity planning, workload management, project planning, and/or project administration
- Demonstrable work experience with inventorying, structuring, and analyzing workloads and/or tasks
- Demonstrable work experience with Excel and/or comparable reporting or planning tools
