Project Manager

The project aims to deliver a validated exploration with a substantiated prioritization (roadmap) for the further development of medical terminology systems within a public healthcare context. This also includes a proposal for a structural process to continue receiving and assessing new wishes and needs, supporting decision-making on subsequent steps.

What you will do.

• Inventory and organize all outstanding wishes and signals regarding the further development of terminology systems, clarifying them into concrete use cases.
• Gather actual needs in the field through interviews with healthcare institutions, medical specialists, scientific associations, terminology system administrators, and EPD suppliers.
• Elaborate and test identified tracks, including defining use cases per track.
• Establish coherence and prioritization for necessary optimizations.
• Develop a national basic set for procedures and links with quality registrations.
• Create a weighting framework in consultation with the sector to make wishes and tracks comparable.
• Test the feasibility, impact, and support of wishes and tracks among medical specialists and healthcare institutions.
• Formulate a substantiated prioritization and a supported recommendation, including scope, involved parties, impact, and lead time per track.
• Develop a proposal for a structural process for receiving, assessing, and handling future wishes and signals.
• Document and substantiate choices made and coordinate with relevant domains and sectors.

What they ask

• Minimum HBO-WO (higher professional education or university) working and thinking level.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the field of medical-specialist care.
• Demonstrable experience in a role as (sub)project leader or content coordinator within complex healthcare or ICT projects.
• Experience with stakeholder management in a complex field (healthcare institutions, scientific associations, umbrella organizations, suppliers, government).

Preferences.

• Experience with conducting explorations and needs assessments in the healthcare field and achieving a supported prioritization.
• Experience with projects in the field of informatization and/or data standardization within medical-specialist care.
• Demonstrable knowledge of coding and terminology systems, including Diagnosethesaurus, Verrichtingenthesaurus, and SNOMED CT.
• Excellent written and oral skills: you deliver clear notes, scenario comparisons, and draft decisions.
• Project management skills, such as planning and organization, clear communication, motivating, problem-solving ability, and flexibility.
