The legal counsel will be deployed to the custodian's telephone service, where clients and internal employees can turn to with complex legal questions. On average, 75 telephone inquiries are received daily and answered the same day. The legal counsel can also be deployed for activities in the request for improvement process (VTV process) arising from the data collection and update tasks in the Basic Register.
In this process, clients (notaries) and internal employees can turn to with complex legal questions about the request for improvement made by the custodian and the method of improvement. Additionally, the legal counsel can be deployed to provide training to new internal employees within legal certainty.
What you will do.
- Provide guidelines, instructions, and advice regarding public registers and the Basic Register, as well as legal and professional information provision.
- Support the internal organization in the application of relevant legislation.
- Prepare decisions regarding registration and enrollment issues.
- Functionally manage and guide other employees at the custodian's telephone service or employees involved in the VTV process.
- Be the legal and substantive point of contact for internal and external clients by phone or email.
- Handle complex legal issues related to registration activities.
- Accurately, clearly, and flawlessly record client inquiries and their resolution in the logging systems.
- Support a custodian in a renewal and/or cleanup project, and be deployable for legal certainty, real estate, and geodata issues.
- Answer incoming questions (by phone and email).
- Handle questions from clients (notaries) and internal employees about requests for improvement, the method of improvement, and resulting legal issues.
Profile
We are looking for a legal counsel who is enthusiastic about providing optimal service to internal and external clients, with strong empathy and excellent communication skills. You will answer complex legal questions, support projects, and provide training to new employees within legal certainty.

- Fluent command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken.
- Academic working and thinking level with a completed study in Notarial Law.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a (candidate) notary in a real estate practice of a notary's office.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with real estate law, corporate law, and personal and family law.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with the interaction between the notary and an organization that, as an independent administrative body, performs statutory tasks.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with the operation of the basic registration system and preferably experience gained with legal registration activities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing training.
- Minimum of 3 years of knowledge and work experience with the registration of cable networks in the Basic Register.
- Agreement with the stipulated secondment conditions.
