A Freelance Reliability Support Engineer is sought for an industrial production environment. You will support the Reliability Engineers in improving the reliability and availability of technical installations. The focus is on analyzing and optimizing preventive maintenance plans, lubrication plans, asset data, and spare parts structures. You will combine technical insight with a structured and administratively accurate approach.
What you will do.
- Evaluate installations based on criticality, failure history, and technical performance
- Identify recurring failures and losses through trend and Pareto analyses
- Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs and lubrication schedules
- Support FMEAs and maintenance strategy analyses
- Determine suitable maintenance tasks, intervals
- Translate technical analyses into work instructions, checklists, and maintenance templates
- Review and update asset structures, material lists, and technical master data
- Co-determine the necessary stock for critical spare parts
- Standardize maintenance plans for important installations
- Support the introduction of predictive maintenance techniques, such as: Vibration analysis, Oil analysis, Infrared measurements
- Process and manage maintenance information in a maintenance or ERP system
- Coordinate improvement actions with maintenance, engineering, and other involved departments

- Technical education or equivalent experience within an industrial environment
- Experience with maintenance, reliability, or maintenance optimization
- Familiar with setting up and evaluating preventive maintenance plans
- Knowledge of FMEA, asset management, failure analysis, and spare parts management
- Experience with a CMMS or ERP system; knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and able to process technical information in a structured manner
- Administratively accurate and willing to maintain documentation and system data correctly
- Independent in execution, with regular coordination with the internal technical team
