QA & Sustainability Officer

Quality and food safety.

• You maintain, manage, and further develop the quality system.
• You actively participate in the preparation and implementation of a GFSI-recognized certification.
• You conduct internal audits and risk analyses, and follow up on corrective measures.
• You manage specifications, procedures, registrations, and quality documentation.
• You follow up on complaints, deviations, and improvement actions.

Audits and sustainability labels.

• You guide external audits, such as certification and customer audits.
• You coordinate audits and certifications related to Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, and Organic.
• You manage the online portals and administrative systems associated with these certifications and product claims.
• You monitor certificates, licenses, registrations, reports, and mass balances of the various claim programs.

Work floor and packaging.

• You are actively present on the work floor and contribute to a strong quality and food safety culture.
• You maintain contact with suppliers of primary packaging materials regarding technical and quality questions.
• You guide customers through the approval process for artworks and packaging with product claims.
• You identify opportunities for improvement in terms of quality, sustainability, and packaging.

What they ask

• A diploma in a food-related field or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry.
• Familiar with HACCP, food safety systems, and quality standards.
• Experience with Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, Organic, or similar certifications is a plus.
• Independent, proactive, and responsible.
• Strong administratively and accurate.
• Comfortable with online portals, databases, and certification platforms.
• A smooth communicator with operators, suppliers, customers, and auditors.
• Enjoys being on the work floor and has a hands-on approach.
• Interest in sustainability, environment, and packaging.
