Electrotechnical Project Manager

Working on challenging and technically complex projects within an academic medical center. This involves various small and medium-sized renovations and adjustments within and around the center. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with knowledge of electrical installations and an affinity for mechanical installations. A professional who manages projects from A to Z and is energized by technology, client contact, and the realization of successful projects.

What you do

As an Electrotechnical Project Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the electrical engineering projects and tasks that a technical service provider carries out within an academic medical center. You ensure that projects, from the initial assignment to completion, are well-organized, executed, and financially successful. You are the linchpin between the client, colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers.

You not only monitor technical progress but are also responsible for the commercial and financial results of your projects.

  • Managing electrical engineering projects from start to finish
  • Monitoring planning, quality, safety, and financial results
  • Preparing and monitoring project budgets and forecasts
  • Identifying risks, opportunities, and deviations and adjusting in a timely manner
  • Maintaining and further developing the relationship with the client
  • Conducting consultations with clients and other stakeholders
  • Managing work planners, technicians, subcontractors
  • Coordinating collaboration between different disciplines
  • Assessing technical solutions and ensuring good feasibility
  • Monitoring and handling additional and less work
  • Ensuring correct project administration and financial reports
  • Ensuring proper transfer and delivery of projects
  • Evaluating projects and translating experiences into improvements for future projects

You are regularly present at the client's site, making you visible and able to respond quickly. You are a strong discussion partner who is close to the execution and finds a balance between technical possibilities, planning, costs, quality, and client interest. You ensure that the right people can do their work at the right time.

What they ask You are an experienced Project Manager within installation technology. You combine technical knowledge with commercial insight and know how to successfully organize and realize a project. You take responsibility, maintain an overview, and easily switch between different interests. You are firm and know when to adjust.

  • HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level and a background in Electrical Engineering
  • Several years of experience managing projects within installation technology
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical installations
  • Affinity with mechanical installations
  • Experience with utility construction and preferably with complex buildings or healthcare environments
  • Financial and commercial insight
  • Strong in relationship management and communication
  • Structured work approach and maintaining an overview under pressure
  • Result-oriented, entrepreneurial

Experience within a hospital environment is a plus, but it is more important that you understand the diligence, flexibility, and high sense of responsibility required when working in such an environment.
