You will work with children and young people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. You will support permanent teams at various locations of a care organization and collaborate with various disciplines. The role is varied and offers continuous development opportunities in practice.
What you will do.
- Guide children and young people aged 0 to 18 with a disability and/or developmental delay
- Support daily activities and care tasks (ADL)
- Assist with play, development, and providing structure
- Create a safe, stimulating, and positive environment for the children
- Collaborate with various disciplines within youth care
- Flexibly assist at different locations
Practical
- Your work schedule can be arranged flexibly, both during the week and on weekends.
- You will work at various youth locations of the care organization.
- A typical workday may include:
- Starting the day with the team and discussing the children's well-being
- Helping a child with the morning routine or supporting ADL care
- Organizing an activity such as crafts, exercise, or outdoor play
- Providing structure and safety when a child experiences tension
- Supporting the team so that each child receives the necessary attention
- You will always work together with support workers, therapists, and teachers.

- Experience: experience working with children, preferably in disability care.
- Availability: available to work at least 1 day per week.
- Diploma: a completed care, pedagogical, or social education, such as:
- Mbo level 2: Helper or Assistant
- Mbo level 3: Caregiver IG, Social Care Worker, or Specific Target Group Support Worker
- Mbo level 4: Social Work, Pedagogical Employee, Teaching Assistant, or Personal Support Worker Specific Target Groups
- Hbo: Social Work or Applied Psychology
- Wo: Psychology or Pedagogical Sciences
