A care and education group is looking for a motivated educator to strengthen its team. You will play a meaningful role in the lives of young people. The semi-closed living groups guide young people aged 12 to 21 with (borderline) normal intelligence or a mild to moderate intellectual disability, combined with a severe behavioral and emotional disorder (BED+). A safe, structured, and warm environment is offered, where development is central.
What you will do.
- Guide young people in all facets of daily life: living, leisure, school, and personal growth.
- Provide structure and clarity, with attention to each young person as an individual.
- Work individually with young people and apply your own creativity.
Profile
- Educator A2 diploma, graduate or bachelor's degree in orthopedagogy, graduate or bachelor's degree in social work.
- Experience with the target group is a plus.
- A heart for young people in sometimes vulnerable situations.
- Work in a structured and consistent manner to provide safety and predictability.
- Possess a calm basic demeanor.
- Be willing to adjust expectations to the capacity of the young person at that moment.
- Have a positive attitude, focusing on possibilities.
- Prioritize the well-being of the young people.
- Communicate in an open and constructive manner.
- Not deterred by difficult or unexpected situations.
- Knowledge of SEO & new authority frameworks is a plus.
- A B driving license is a plus.
