Adult Support Worker level 3

You will provide support to clients who are visually impaired or blind, have an intellectual disability, and are dealing with aging.
- You gain energy from providing personal care and day activities.
- You will work in a residential group home for 11 clients (2 women and 9 men, aged between 40 and 82) with visual and mild/moderate intellectual disabilities.
- Some clients also have psychological or physical conditions that require extra attention, and the demand for care increases with aging.
- You will work in an integrated team, meaning you work in both residential care and day activities.
- The residential location offers a safe living environment with fixed routines, customized day activities, and professional support.
- As a support worker, you will work according to agreements in the care plan and be alert to what a client needs to function as well as possible.
- You will observe changes in health or behavior and discuss these with your colleagues.
What you do
- Provide care for clients with visual and intellectual disabilities and associated individual problems.
- Ensure a safe, trusted working environment where providing warm care to the aging client is central.
- Work in an integrated team with enthusiastic, driven, and experienced colleagues.
- Perform ADL tasks (support and take over in all areas).
- Perform common 'nursing' actions (internal training is also available for this).
- Carry out all common household tasks.
- Be available for all shifts 24/7 (morning, afternoon, evening, night).
- Be willing to accompany a client once a week during the weekly swimming hour.
- Implement the client plan.
- Observe the client, identify bottlenecks, and report on them in the digital client system (ONS).
- Contribute ideas on various care-related themes.
What they ask
- Possess a care or pedagogical diploma at level 3.
- Be eager to learn, helpful, and caring.
- Knowledge of aging clients, autism, epilepsy, and different developmental levels is a significant advantage.
- Be able to adapt care per situation and have an eye for vitality.
- Know how to work/report in a digital client system (ONS).
Practical
- You will work with a unique and pleasant client group in different life stages.
- You will be part of one integrated team where residential care and day activities are combined.
- This is a contract for 24-28 hours for one year with the prospect of a permanent contract.
- There are good employment conditions in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for disabled care, such as an 8.33% year-end bonus.
- You will receive travel allowance, pension accrual via the Healthcare & Welfare Pension Fund, and extra balance leave.
- Opportunities are available for training and schooling, including LACCS, or participation in expertise activities.
