Lead a team active in non-destructive testing (NDT) and industrial inspections. What you will do. As Business Unit Manager / Operations Manager, you will lead the operational activities of an NDT branch. You will manage daily operations and ensure optimal collaboration between employees, clients, and various branches within the Netherlands. The branch performs non-destructive testing (NDT) and industrial inspections for clients in sectors including industry, petrochemicals, and energy.
You will be responsible for the operational performance of the branch and ensure that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to the highest quality standards. You will combine operational leadership with commercial acumen, identify market opportunities, maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to the further development of the organization. You will have ample room to implement improvements and shape the future of the branch.
Tasks and responsibilities.
- Lead the operational activities of the NDT branch
- Responsible for the operational results of the branch
- Coach, guide, and develop employees
- Monitor quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients
- Identify and leverage commercial opportunities
- Drive efficient deployment of people, resources
- Collaborate with other NDT branches within the Netherlands
- Coordinate capacity, knowledge, and expertise between different locations
- Initiate and implement process and quality improvements
- Translate organizational objectives into concrete results
- Report on the performance, progress, and developments of the branch
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, procedures, and safety regulations
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level
- Experience in a leadership role within a technical, industrial, or inspection environment
- Experience with managing teams and operational processes
- Strong communication skills and unifying leadership
- Good command of Dutch and English
Preferences.
- Experience in inspection, asset integrity, or non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Experience with commercial responsibility and client development
- Knowledge of quality and safety management systems
