For a long-term partner in the manufacturing industry, a Functional Application Manager is sought to manage multiple applications and enhance collaboration between IT and business. You will work in a close-knit and ambitious IT team on the stabilization, optimization, and continuous development of a modern and diverse application landscape. You will manage suppliers, collaborate closely with key users and business colleagues, and promote a proactive and process-oriented way of working.
What you do
- Manage a set of applications
- Take charge of software suppliers and external specialists
- Ensure performance monitoring, life cycle management, and health checks
- Perform root cause analyses for incidents and propose structural solutions
- Initiate and elaborate improvements in change requests and functional specifications
- Support business deliveries (manuals, user consultations, training)
- Connect with strategic projects related to digitalization and process optimization
- Manage stakeholders - from end-users in operations to management and external suppliers
- Guide colleagues in best practices and work together towards further professionalization of the application landscape
What they ask
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a role as an application manager
- Proven experience in managing multiple and diverse applications
- Experience with ITIL processes and service management tooling
- Strong communication skills, results-oriented, with flair and humor
- Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to engage colleagues and suppliers
- Basic technical knowledge of system administration, network administration, and Azure, among others
- Process-oriented thinker who quickly identifies and resolves bottlenecks
- Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Experience in a production or logistics environment is a plus
