Mobility Coordinator
The mobility department of a local government has various tasks. The department focuses on road safety, both by providing safe roads and by raising awareness. In addition, the department ensures the proper handling of applications for events, manifestations, and relocations. The translation and implementation of the mobility plan are also part of this department's responsibilities.
What you do
The mobility coordinator ensures that the organization's vision regarding optimal mobility and safer, more livable traffic is well prepared and executed. This includes:
- Analyzing mobility flows and identifying bottlenecks.
- Providing advice on road safety, infrastructure (superstructure), and sustainable transport solutions.
- Coordinating mobility projects with internal and external partners.
- Monitoring trends and innovations in mobility and translating them into policy.
- Stimulating sustainable choices among citizens and the administration.
What they ask
- You have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent), or 3 years of relevant experience in mobility or traffic (in this case, you will also need to take a capacity test).
- You have a B driving license.
- Preferably, experience in mobility and traffic themes; if not, targeted training will be provided.
- Interest in mobility regulations and willingness to continuously educate yourself in this area.
