Process Manager for Liveability and Area Oriented Work

This assignment involves a new role within a compact local government organization, characterized by short lines of communication and rapid decision-making. The organization serves a community of over 12,000 residents and focuses on strengthening liveability and area-oriented work.

What you do

  • Concretely implement liveability measures from the Social Agenda of a comparable organization and develop neighborhood agendas.
  • Play a central role in strengthening liveability in the villages.
  • Set up and guide a liveability discussion table, collaborating with involved residents and organizations, to develop plans for community support and fostering encounters.
  • Advise on the deployment of resources for liveability measures.
  • Actively connect with residents, organizations, and advisory councils to integrate diverse perspectives into advice for the executive board.
  • Advise the executive board, management, and colleagues.
  • Ensure that proposals prepared at the liveability discussion table are forwarded to the executive board for formal decision-making, considering both administrative and societal relations.
  • Bring coherence to complex, integrated, and cross-domain issues.
  • Support the liveability discussion table in making choices with visible impact.
  • Further shape area-oriented work through neighborhood agendas.
  • Translate the ambition to involve residents into a clear vision and concrete approach.
  • Explore possibilities for neighborhood agendas, identify opportunities and points of attention, and make proposals for implementation.

What they ask

  • Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience with process guidance in an administrative, social, or municipal context.
  • Demonstrable work experience with working with residents, organizations, and diverse interests (participation, co-creation, neighborhood-oriented work, liveability, social domain).
  • Demonstrable work experience with advising management, executive board, or college.

Preferences.

  • Demonstrable work experience with process management, participation, liveability, area-oriented work, or comparable domains.
  • Demonstrable work experience with complex, integrated issues and connecting different interests.
  • Demonstrable work experience with setting up and guiding consultation structures.
  • Relevance of previous assignments for a small municipality with short lines of communication.
  • A clear vision and approach to liveability and area-oriented work, including:
  • Insight into the Social Agenda of a comparable organization and the role of a liveability discussion table.
  • Convincing approach for setting up, guiding, and developing consultation structures.
  • Ability to lead and allow space for residents and partners.

  • Possesses the ability to switch between various dossiers, prioritize, and distinguish main from secondary issues.
  • Solution-oriented and always sees opportunities and possibilities.
  • Can translate complex information into clear advice and proposals.
