A public waste management organization collaborates with various municipalities for a clean public space, less waste, and more reuse of raw materials. As a sustainability relationship manager, you are the fixed point of contact for several municipalities. You ensure that plans, improvements, and collaborations actually materialize. You step into a dynamic environment where you independently manage collaboration with municipalities and help realize improvement initiatives.
What you will do.
- Point of contact for municipalities regarding waste collection, raw materials, and public space management
- Discussing results, identifying improvement opportunities, and monitoring agreements made
- Drawing up and implementing annual plans and coordinating improvement initiatives
- Working with colleagues, municipalities, and residents on process improvements and participation issues
- Coordinating with colleagues on smarter process design
- Discussing with the account team how residents can be better involved in projects

- Experience with or within municipalities and familiar with collaboration in an administrative environment
- Strong in relationship and stakeholder management and building sustainable collaborations, both within and outside the organization
- Able to translate developments and improvement opportunities into concrete actions and results
- Excellent command of the Dutch language
Practical
- You work in pairs with a sustainability advisor in the regions where your municipalities are located.
- The Municipal Advisory team consists of sustainability advisors, account managers, and a project leader.
