For a Spatial Development team, a government organization is looking for a Spatial Planning Policy Advisor to support a number of (complex) spatial projects and developments. The assignment focuses on independently guiding spatial issues, projects, and initiatives, where the contractor is responsible for completing the necessary legal-planning procedures and advising on spatial and administrative considerations. The activities relate to various area developments, housing initiatives, and other spatial tasks.
In addition, the contractor contributes to the implementation of the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet) and the further development of the Environmental Plan (Omgevingsplan).

Profile
We are looking for an experienced Spatial Planning Policy Advisor who can independently guide complex spatial issues within a municipal context. The candidate has extensive knowledge of the spatial domain and the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet) and has demonstrable experience in guiding legal-planning procedures and spatial developments.
The ideal candidate is analytically strong, knows how to carefully weigh different interests, and is able to clearly translate complex dossiers into concrete advice for project teams, management, and administration. In addition, the candidate feels at home in a dynamic environment where spatial, legal, and administrative issues converge. The candidate possesses excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and can operate independently within multidisciplinary projects.
Experience with politically and administratively sensitive dossiers, objection and appeal procedures, and representing a government organization in legal procedures is a significant advantage.
