Civil Director

In the coming years, many developments are expected in civil engineering and public spaces within a municipal organization. This includes the development of new housing, the construction of new infrastructure, and the maintenance of existing facilities. In this dynamic environment, you will take the lead and ensure that work is carried out smoothly, carefully, and according to schedule.

What you will do.

• Responsible for the management of the civil asset base
• Advises colleagues on maintenance and management
• Ensures, together with the data manager, that management information remains current, complete
• Closely involved in deliveries, inspections
• Timely identifies changes in public spaces
• Organizes, guides, and monitors civil engineering work from preparation to execution
• Manages involved parties and maintains an overview of quality, planning, progress
• Works intensively with colleagues from the field service and other internal teams, contractors, entrepreneurs, residents, and other stakeholders
• Ensures that information from inventories, inspections, and work budgets remains clear and up-to-date
• Organizes the necessary work, has it carried out, and ensures proper recording of data and agreements
• Supports the senior civil director in preparing work budgets

What they ask

• Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of MBO 4 level in civil engineering or construction
• Demonstrable work experience in work preparation and project supervision within civil engineering
• Demonstrable knowledge of and work experience with the RAW system
• Knowledge of asset management / management
• Demonstrable knowledge of safe working, for example through a VCA certificate or a comparable safety training
• Demonstrable knowledge of UAV and/or UAV‑GC

Preferences.

• Demonstrable work experience with at least 2 assignments in the past 5 years within the physical/spatial domain in a small to medium-sized municipality up to 50,000 inhabitants
• Demonstrable work experience in a political-administrative environment
• A personal motivation, detailing suitability for the assignment, relevant work experience, and motivation for this assignment
