You help people who are (temporarily) sidelined to return to work and want to make a difference for residents. Through a secondment agency, you get the opportunity to gain experience at various municipal organizations through secondment, while continuing to build your expertise as a Work Consultant.
What you do
As a Work Consultant, you work within municipal organizations to guide residents towards employment or other forms of participation. You conduct interviews, identify opportunities and obstacles, and together with the resident, draw up a realistic trajectory towards work. You work independently within the framework of the Participation Act (Participatiewet).
Your tasks and responsibilities.
- Conducting intake and follow-up interviews with job seekers
- Managing your own caseload
- Identifying opportunities, wishes
- Drawing up and implementing trajectory plans towards work
- Building and maintaining contacts with employers in the region
- Matching job seekers with suitable vacancies or work experience placements
- Assessing applications within the Participation Act (Participatiewet)
- Monitoring and evaluating implemented trajectories
- Building knowledge and experience within the municipal work field
What they ask You already have experience as a Work Consultant and know how to quickly adapt within a new organization. You take initiative, work independently, and think in solutions for both the resident and the municipality.
Profile
- Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, for example in Social Legal Services, Human Resource Management, or Social Work
- Demonstrable experience with the Participation Act (Participatiewet) and guiding job seekers to work
- A well-developed network or understanding of the regional labor market
- Good communication and advisory skills
- Work carefully, structured
- Flexible and quickly deployable for various clients
