A government organization faces a significant development challenge within the social domain. Based on the Youth Reform Agenda, the Future Scenarios for Child and Family Protection, and local ambitions, efforts are being made to strengthen the local network, increase prevention, improve the connection between Youth and Wmo (Social Support Act), and implement an integrated approach to safety and complex family issues.
For the execution of these tasks, temporary reinforcement is sought in the form of an experienced Youth Policy Advisor.
What you do
- Work on broad themes within the youth domain, from education and prevention to the implementation of the Youth Reform Agenda.
- Fulfill a connecting role between different parts of youth policy to ensure a single direction and a coherent approach.
- Switch between strategic issues and practical implementation.
- Translate national and local developments into concrete choices.
- Advise management on the development of the youth domain.
- Bring together different people, perspectives, and societal challenges.
- Translate shared ambitions into a feasible long-term vision.
Profile
- Experienced policy advisor who can maintain an overview in a versatile and sometimes complex policy field.
- Able to recognize interconnections between different policy areas.
- Bring together various interests, issues, and stakeholders.
- Possess strong analytical skills and foresight.
- Translate complex developments into a clear direction and concrete approach.
- Able to connect strategic policy development with what is actually needed in implementation.
- Capable of quickly gathering relevant knowledge from various parties, bringing it together, and determining a course.
What they ask
- Minimum HBO bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable work experience as a youth policy officer at a government organization.
Preferences.
- Completed education at a minimum of WO (university) level.
- Minimum of 1 year of demonstrable work experience in the past 6 years as a policy advisor focused on youth at a government organization.
- Demonstrable work experience with policy development and/or programmatic work.
