Strategy and Transformation Consultant

• Supporting a CTO following the merger of regional technology departments into one, covering how the leadership team should operate and how to set up a CTO office.
• Partnering with CTO-1 leadership to shape, document, and drive the convergence plan following the merger of regional technology departments.
• Establishing an AI-enabled CTO office, rethinking processes and ways of working, and using AI solutions.
• Acting as a strategic thinking partner to a CTO, answering key technology questions and preparing updates for the C-suite.
• Supporting a CTO to drive improvements and modernization of security and disaster recovery strategy.
• Supporting a large-scale, multi-country data transformation by setting up an EU-level DMO and governance model.

What you will do.

• Break down strategic technology questions into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and workplans.
• Help design technology operating models, including leadership team set-up, governance, CTO office structure, processes, and ways of working.
• Run the analysis: fact-finding, stakeholder interviews, data gathering, and synthesis into clear recommendations.
• Build executive-ready storylines and materials for CTO and C-suite audiences.
• Work within a team, contributing ideas, structure, and challenge, and taking direction from the engagement lead.
• Build trusted working relationships with senior client stakeholders across technology and the business.
• Get up to speed quickly and add value from week one.

What they ask

• 4-10 years’ experience, including a strong grounding in strategy or technology consulting at a top-tier consulting firm.
• Proven experience on technology strategy, operating model, or transformation work at a senior level.
• Excellent structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven thinking.
• Strong executive communication, with the ability to turn complex analysis into a clear C-suite narrative.
• A collaborative, low-ego working style and comfort working within a team led by leadership.
• Fluent English and EU work authorization.

Nice-to-haves.

• Experience designing or setting up a CTO office, or integrating technology functions after a merger.
• Exposure to AI-enabled ways of working or process redesign.
• Expertise in Cyber Security and Disaster Recovery.
