A government organization faces major challenges in the field of inner-city area development and housing. Additional capacity is needed to address these challenges, implementing the organization's vision and social housing program, including related policy objectives.
What you will do.
- Advise on spatial initiatives, projects, and areas regarding the application of housing policy.
- Assist in setting up an improved housing construction monitor.
- Coordinate permit applications and provide advice on them.
- Take on other dossiers such as student housing or contribute to the implementation agenda of the social housing program and the residential care agenda.
- Monitor developments within and outside the organization and translate them into concrete policy frameworks and proposals.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from the Housing cluster, social domain, real estate, spatial planning, and projects.
- Maintain contact with regional municipalities and housing corporations.
- Advise management and the board and guide processes smoothly.
Profile
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 7 years as a housing policy officer and/or policy advisor.
- Demonstrable work experience in advising on spatial initiatives, housing construction projects, and/or area developments.
- Demonstrable work experience in developing, implementing, and executing housing policy, social housing policy, and/or housing construction policy.
- Demonstrable work experience in drafting administrative advice and advising management and/or the board.
- Demonstrable work experience in collaboration and coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders within the spatial and/or social domain.
- Collaboration: effectively collaborate with colleagues and external partners.
- Results-oriented: achieve concrete results within various dossiers.
- Analytical ability: understand complex policy issues and housing market developments and translate them into clear advice.
Preferences.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 7 years with advising on housing construction programs, housing construction initiatives, and/or area developments within a municipal organization.
- Demonstrable work experience with advising on housing within projects and area developments.
- Demonstrable work experience with the substantive assessment of permit applications and/or procedures in the field of housing, social housing, or spatial development.
- Demonstrable work experience with the implementation of social housing policy, housing policy, residential care policy, and/or a social housing program.
- Demonstrable work experience with stakeholder management, having collaborated with housing corporations, regional municipalities, the social domain, real estate, spatial planning, and/or project organizations.
