Construction Manager Stations & Buildings
The contractor will make a results-oriented contribution to a project focused on the renovation of a depot. The assignment is primarily focused on construction management and supervision during the preparation and realization of the new construction and renovation of the depot and associated outdoor areas. The intended result is a timely, safe, controlled, and qualitatively correct execution of the work within the agreed contractual and project frameworks.
What you do
- Perform construction management and supervision in accordance with the client's processes, contract documents, drawings, technical specifications, permits, applicable laws and regulations, and safety regulations.
- Manage progress, quality, safety, finances, risks, changes, and the interfaces between the building, rail, equipment, installations, and operations.
- Monitor and verify execution work against applicable contractual and technical requirements.
- Timely identify, record, and provide advice or corrective measures for deviations, risks, changes, and bottlenecks.
- Manage the integration and interfaces between the building, rail, equipment, and building-related installations.
- Prepare, guide, and record inspections, pre-deliveries, partial deliveries, and transfer moments.
- Maintain supervision, change, inspection, and delivery documentation in an up-to-date, complete, and traceable manner.
- Support and monitor planned project milestones in accordance with the project planning.
- Ensure a careful transfer of project knowledge, current files, risks, outstanding actions, and relevant contacts to the client.
- Coordinate collaboration between contractors, the project team, managers, users, and other involved parties.
- Supervise the correct execution of civil, structural, and installation technical works.
Profile
You are part of an engineering firm of a public transport company and work on projects focused on the new construction, renovation, and maintenance of stations, stops, depots, passenger facilities, and associated buildings and installations. You collaborate operationally with the project manager, design teams, managers, internal specialists, contractors, and external consulting firms.
What they ask
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level, preferably in civil engineering or architecture.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the realization phase of utility construction and/or infrastructural projects.
- Demonstrable experience with contract management, construction site coordination, change management, delivery, and transfer.
- Experience with multidisciplinary projects combining structural and building-related installation technical disciplines.
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant building regulations, quality assurance, and health and safety regulations.
- Good command of the Dutch language, both orally and in writing.
- In possession of a VCA-VOL certificate.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable experience with the construction or renovation of depots, workshops, stations, or other utilitarian objects in an operational environment.
- Experience with UAV, UAV-GC, RAW or comparable contract forms.
- Experience with a public transport company, rail manager, public client, or similar asset-intensive organization.
- Experience with Systems Engineering and managing requirements, verifications, and delivery information.
