A government organization is growing within the existing city, making the quality of green and outdoor spaces more important. As a Policy Advisor Green & Outdoor Space, you ensure that biodiversity, climate adaptation, health, and user quality are fully integrated into policy and development from the outset.
What you will do. You will contribute to the sustainable development of the city by:
- developing and updating vision, policy, and implementation frameworks for green, biodiversity, and a healthy living environment
- advising the board, management, and project teams on strategic green and spatial issues
- safeguarding green and ecological interests in the environmental plan, programs, area frameworks
- directing integrated assignments where housing, climate adaptation, water, mobility, and green spaces converge
- translating legislation, societal developments, and research into feasible policy and concrete measures
- connecting policy with design, management
- building support among internal and external partners
- monitoring the progress and effects of policy and adjusting where necessary to keep ambitions and implementation aligned
Profile
- HBO or university level of work and thinking, and extensive experience with policy development within the physical domain
- demonstrable knowledge of green policy, biodiversity, and climate adaptation, and their relationship with spatial development
- a proactive and solution-oriented attitude, where you identify opportunities, develop creative solutions, and can translate ideas into decision-making and implementation
- the ability to connect administrative, social, spatial, and management interests and to deal with complex and sometimes conflicting spatial claims
- strong leadership and advisory skills, with which you organize collaboration, create support, monitor the course, and advise clearly and convincingly, both orally and in writing
Practical
- a gross monthly salary of up to €6,422 (scale 11 according to the collective labor agreement for government organizations) with an individual choice budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your gross salary
- 144 statutory vacation hours and 57.6 extra-statutory vacation hours
