Structural Engineer Concrete Bridges and Viaducts I

You contribute to the technical knowledge and expertise of a government organization for all life phases of concrete bridges and viaducts. You work in a driven team of technical specialists and provide technical craftsmanship. You can have an impact on sustainable ambitions, the development of standards, and the improvement of working methods.

What you will do.

• Review design calculations
• Advise on potential reuse, risks regarding planning, feasibility
• Contribute to the recalculation office for guiding non-linear FEM calculations
• Handle counter inquiries
• Contribute to the development of standards and guidelines
• Provide project advice to IPM teams
• Evaluate delivered products in projects within the set timeframe and according to the agreed working method

What they ask

• Completed university (WO) or higher professional education (HBO) in civil engineering with a relevant specialization
• Minimum 7 years of work experience as a structural engineer in the field of concrete bridges and viaducts, gained in the last 10 years
• Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines in the field of bridges and viaducts
• Willingness to work at project locations where necessary
• Agreement with the stated secondment conditions

Preferences.

• Extensive experience with recalculations of concrete bridges
• Knowledge and experience with the new generation of Eurocodes for concrete bridges (RBK and ROK erratum)
• Knowledge and experience regarding foundations of bridges and viaducts
