Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst to strengthen a Fraud Team within a Customer Servicing & Efficiency organization. The selected consultant will combine strong business analysis expertise with solid experience in Agile ideation and refinement practices, including EPIC/OPUS management and ownership. Knowledge of fraud prevention and fraud detection within the banking sector is considered a strong asset.

The consultant will act as a key link between business stakeholders, product owners, contributors, and delivery teams, driving requirements from ideation through implementation, testing, deployment, and adoption. The role requires excellent stakeholder management, strong analytical capabilities, ownership, and the ability to lead end-to-end features and opuses while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and customer experience considerations.

What you will do.

  • Lead business analysis activities for features and opuses.
  • Act as Feature Owner and/or Opus Owner when required.
  • Drive Agile ideation and refinement activities.
  • Facilitate the collection, clarification, validation, and documentation of business requirements.
  • Challenge business requests to promote efficiency and strategic alignment.
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear requirements for solution design and delivery.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, contributors, and squad members throughout the lifecycle of initiatives.
  • Ensure customer experience considerations are embedded within the solution design process.
  • Support change management activities and user onboarding for new solutions.
  • Participate in end-to-end testing activities and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage risks, issues, constraints, and impediments to ensure delivery remains on track.
  • Gather, analyse, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Organize and facilitate ideation and refinement workshops.
  • Coordinate interactions between business stakeholders, Product Owners, contributors, and delivery teams.
  • Produce clear business documentation.
  • Use mock-ups, visualisations, and other artefacts to validate requirements and solutions.
  • Contribute to functional analysis activities when required.
  • Translate business needs into solution requirements and functional specifications.
  • Support the design of efficient and customer-centric solutions.
  • Communicate progress, requirements, risks, issues, and decisions.
  • Prepare, execute, and support end-to-end testing activities.
  • Monitor defects, risks, testing outcomes, and delivery quality.
  • Support go-live activities and business adoption of new functionalities.
  • Map delivered functionalities against business needs and expected outcomes.
  • Identify and manage dependencies, constraints, issues, and delivery impediments.
  • Report transparently on project progress and delivery status.

Profile

  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Expert-level business analysis skills.
  • Experience in Agile ideation and refinement methodologies.
  • Experience in OPUS ownership and Feature ownership.
  • Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation experience.
  • Functional analysis expertise.
  • Ability to understand and challenge business needs.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into solution requirements.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience considerations.
  • Change management and business adoption experience.
  • Stakeholder management expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong capabilities in data visualisation, graphs, and presentation of information.
  • Experience contributing to testing activities.
  • Functional and technical understanding of solutions and system functionalities.
  • Ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of fraud prevention activities in the banking sector (preferred).
  • Knowledge of fraud detection activities in the banking sector (preferred).
  • Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
