As a High Voltage Project Manager, you will lead complex high and medium voltage projects around transformer stations and substations. You will realize expansions and renovations of energy infrastructure above 110 kV, including automation and network security. You will ensure safety, planning, and budget, and liaise with grid operators, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
In doing so, you will have a direct impact on the modernization and sustainability of the regional energy infrastructure and the integration of sustainable energy into the high-voltage grid. You will work as an independent professional for an engineering and consulting firm in the (sustainable) energy sector with a strong focus on high voltage and energy technology. This organization develops, realizes, and maintains energy infrastructures for grid operators and industrial clients.
This includes the supply and installation of high-voltage components, the new construction and renovation of 150 kV and 380 kV transformer stations and substations, and projects related to automation, SCADA systems, and grid integration. The organization manages projects as integrally as possible: from engineering to realization and maintenance under its own management, in close cooperation with grid operators and contractors.
You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams on projects such as the expansion of high-voltage grids and the integration of sustainable energy sources into existing networks.
What you will do.
- Coordinate the operational execution of high and medium voltage projects;
- Monitor budgets, costs, and project profitability throughout the entire project lifecycle;
- Establish and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deadlines;
- Ensure safe execution in accordance with applicable standards and regulations;
- Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with technical specifications;
- Maintain client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for clients;
- Identify and manage project risks in technical, financial, and planning areas;
- Lead and motivate project teams with engineers and subcontractors.
Profile
- Completed technical education in electrical engineering or energy technology, or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or project control within the energy sector;
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation;
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken;
- Strong organizational and communication skills, focused on collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
