Visual Arts Therapist

OverijsselHybrid30 hours/week<3months

A specialized institution focuses on patients with a non-Dutch cultural background and complex psychiatric issues. For these patients, in addition to intensive treatment, a (highly) secure environment is necessary. The institution also uses its outpatient expertise to prevent admission or facilitate successful resocialization/reintegration after treatment.

The goal is to stabilize and treat patients efficiently and safely, so they can return to a less secure facility, an appropriate place in a protected environment, or society. This may also involve repatriation to their country of origin. The institution has various treatment departments, categorized by legal title and care needs, including departments for asylum seekers, undocumented foreign nationals, detainees, or individuals under forensic psychiatric orders.

Most patients have a nationality other than Dutch and often a non-Western cultural background.
