A logistics organization is currently scaling up significantly. To manage this rapid growth effectively, we are looking for a decisive project manager who will firmly take charge of various complex internal projects. These projects focus on process-oriented management, optimization of internal operations, and strict capacity planning. In addition, the role is indispensable for the success of extensive acquisition programs and tenders.
Apart from internal improvement trajectories, you will act as the coordinating engine: you will be the driving force ensuring that actions are pursued vigorously and operational bottlenecks are proactively removed. By strongly managing both aspects, you guarantee that the organization can handle accelerated procurement processes smoothly. You will work at a support office that focuses on internal operations, coordination of tenders, and capacity planning.
As a project manager, you will manage internal improvements from A to Z, support the organization process-wise, and act as a steadfast enforcer where implementation threatens to stall.
What you will do.
- Lead various internal projects that directly contribute to optimizing internal operations and streamlining capacity planning.
- Act as a coordinator and provide substantive support in executing large tenders and acquisition programs.
- Proactively pursue actions with all involved internal and external parties, including demanders and suppliers.
- Monitor progress and ensure that both internal projects and tenders remain strictly within agreed frameworks.
What they ask
- Function at HBO or university level with a background in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Bring significant work experience gained within large, complex organizations.
- Be extremely strong in stakeholder management and able to act communicatively and decisively to get things done.
- Demonstrable experience or certification in Lean Six Sigma and/or PRINCE2 is a plus.
Practical
- A security clearance (VGB) is part of the application process.
- Dutch nationality is required.
- A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is a condition for appointment.
- A security investigation and reference check may be part of the selection procedure (average 8 weeks).
