Within a team, you will help transform an application into a platform for all communications to pension customers of a financial service provider. The team manages and further develops the application, which is a Java EE application with a Primefaces/JSF front-end, running on a Websphere environment with an Oracle back-end. This application is currently used for all major pension publications, such as Uniform Pension Overviews. There is a growing demand to deploy this platform more broadly within the organization.
What you will do.
- Develop innovative solutions in JavaEE to enable users to work faster and more efficiently
- Transform existing software into a self-service platform, including making the application more generic, integrating with other systems, user access management, and further automation
- Ensure that developed software is well-maintainable and transferable, as the team is responsible for both build and run
What they ask
- Experience as a JavaEE developer
- Experience with Typescript
- Experience with current technologies: JPA, JAX, JSF/Primefaces
- Experience with future technologies: Open liberty, AWS/K8S
- Sufficient SQL knowledge to read and create basic (Oracle) queries
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Git
- Strong analytical skills to quickly understand and resolve issues
