Benefits Desk Consultant

A government organization is seeking temporary additional capacity for the support team that assists affected families in the context of a benefits scandal.

• The professional is part of the municipal support team and collaborates with internal colleagues within the social domain and external partners.
• The objective is for affected parents to receive appropriate and coherent support, for support trajectories to be carefully executed and documented, and for families to work towards a sustainable improvement of their financial and social situation and self-reliance.

What you will do.

• Guide affected parents throughout the entire support process and manage complex cases.
• Conduct intake, progress, and evaluation interviews.
• Inventory support needs in the areas of care, youth and family, income and participation, and housing.
• Provide case management for complex multi-problem situations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor support plans.
• Coordinate with internal colleagues and external partners.
• Guide residents in contacts with authorities, including the Tax Authorities.
• Identify psychosocial problems and organize appropriate support where necessary.
• Ensure complete, timely, and correct reports and file registration.
• Participate in regular work meetings.
• Report to the client or a supervisor.
• Work in a team.

What they ask for. What they ask

• Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience in the past 6 years as a case manager, client manager, consultant, or similar function within the social domain.
• Demonstrable work experience with debt assistance, financial problems, or guiding residents with debts.
• Demonstrable work experience with guiding victims of the benefits scandal within a municipal organization.
• Demonstrable work experience with guiding affected parents of the benefits scandal and/or residents with complex financial and social problems within the social domain.
• At least a completed HBO bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Work and Services, Social Legal Services, or similar.

Preferences.

• Demonstrable work experience with stress-sensitive service provision on topics such as psychosocial problems, financial and/or multi-problem situations.
• Minimum of 4 years demonstrable work experience as a consultant or case manager for the benefits scandal at a municipal organization or neighborhood/district team.
• Demonstrable work experience with Suite voor Sociaal Domein.
• Demonstrable work experience as a social domain consultant at a large municipality (100,000+ inhabitants).
