In various project phases, from idea to realization, you can work as an advisor and specialist on a wide range of projects, such as:
- Realizing Fish Passages
- Regional flood defenses
- Renovation of pumping stations and locks
What you do
- Together with the project team, you formulate the problem and objectives and desired end results
- You translate project assignments into functional requirements
- You independently draw up expert and well-founded advice
- You create and test designs, calculations
- You prepare calculations and cost estimates belonging to the advice and solutions you propose
- The engineering firm prepares projects and ensures quality by supervising in the field and managing its own works
- You take into account the reduction of primary raw material use, circular construction, emission reduction, and efficient energy consumption and generation
Profile
You are an initiator who ensures projects run in a structured manner. Always looking for (creative) ways to improve processes and achieve goals. Independent where possible, in a team to increase effectiveness.

- Demonstrable work experience with weirs, pumping stations, and (regional) flood defenses
- Available to start no later than October 1, 2026
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years as a Technical Advisor Civil Engineering or a similar role
- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
- Candidate agrees to the stated secondment conditions
Preferences.
- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level in civil engineering or water management
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years as a Technical Advisor or Civil Engineering Specialist
- Demonstrable work experience within a water board
- Personal motivation explaining suitability and motivation for this assignment
