Secretary of the Appeals Committee
A government organization is looking for an experienced and independently operating secretary for the independent appeals committee. The secretary supports the committee in handling appeals and ensures a legally correct, independent, and efficient processing of appeal procedures.

- Prepare hearings of the appeals committee
- Assess files for completeness and legal quality

- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years as a secretary of an appeals committee or in a comparable legal support function within a government organization
- Demonstrable work experience with the handling of appeals in accordance with the General Administrative Law Act (Awb)
- Demonstrable work experience with preparing and guiding hearings and drafting advice within appeal procedures
- Demonstrable work experience with assessing legal files for completeness and legal quality
- Demonstrable work experience within a municipal organization in a legal-administrative or legal advisory role

- Demonstrable work experience with stakeholder management within appeal procedures, including maintaining contacts with appellants, authorized representatives, specialized departments, lawyers, and members of an appeals committee
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor level in the direction of Law, Legal Services
- Demonstrable work experience with independently drafting concept advice and definitive advice in appeal procedures, where the candidate was responsible for the legal quality of the advice
- Demonstrable work experience with appeal cases in municipal policy areas, such as spatial planning, permits, and/or traffic
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with monitoring legal deadlines, litigation, and procedural requirements within appeal procedures
