Accountant

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Record financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales revenue
• Organize and maintain financial documents and supporting records
• Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations
• Assist in the preparation of VAT and IC returns and compliance reporting
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and information
• Participate in audit procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Help maintain continuity of financial records and reporting throughout the transition of software applications

What they ask

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role
• Preferably a registered self-employed status (main or side occupation) and the ability to invoice for your services
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices
• Proficiency in accounting software (Dynamics Navision) and MS Office, particularly Excel
• An affinity for software transitions and process automation
• The ability to organize your own workload and methods, aligning on outcomes rather than fixed instructions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills, comfortable working closely with an internal team without being embedded in its hierarchy
• Dutch native speaking skills with knowledge of English (French is a major additional asset)
