Policy Officer Liveability

For the Social Domain Policy team, a government organization is looking for an all-round policy officer for liveability.

• The assignment concerns a secondment contract with the possibility of extension.
• You will be deployed to reduce the workload of colleagues in the team on various tasks.
• As a policy officer for liveability, you will be part of the Social Domain Policy team, which focuses on care and liveability.

What you will do.

• Perform various tasks in the areas of liveability, together with the policy officers in the Social Domain Policy team.
• Engage in policy development, implementation, advice, and subsidy processing in the field of liveability.
• Collaborate with current policy officers and take over some of their tasks.
• Participate in internal and external meetings if necessary.
• Within care, policies are developed for the Social Support Act (WMO), the Participation Act, youth care, integration, poverty policy, and debt assistance.
• Liveability policy promotes sports and exercise, health, education, art and culture, Frisian language, youth work, and welfare.
• This team is also responsible for processing subsidy applications, the reception of refugees and Ukrainians, and village coordination.

What they ask

• CV of a maximum of 3 A4 pages.
• Extensive expertise and experience with multiple liveability policy areas at a government organization.
• Extensive experience with processing subsidies.
• The ability to think and act in a solution-oriented manner.
• Good communication and social skills and political sensitivity.
• A positive and empathetic attitude.
• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Minimum 3 days a week working at the office.
• Agreement with the stipulated secondment conditions (ZZP/freelance is excluded).

Wishes.

• Several years of experience as a policy officer in the requested liveability policy areas.
• Several years of experience with coordinating activities, projects, and policy developments with other (policy) developments within a social domain policy team.
• Passive knowledge of the Frisian language.
