You will work as a nurse in the permanent night shift.
- You are responsible for the care and safety of patients in a High Care unit within a closed mental health setting.
- You collaborate with a direct colleague and night shifts from two other clinics in the building.
- The department is an Acute Adult Admission Unit, part of the acute care chain within mental healthcare.
- The clinic consists of a High Care closed unit with thirteen beds and a Medium Care closed unit with eight beds.
- Patients are admitted here for short periods, often in crisis situations, both voluntarily and under the Compulsory Mental Healthcare Act.
What you do
- Supervise and perform checks.
- Administer medication and provide support where necessary.
- Ensure peace and stability during the night.
- Start your shift with a handover of the day's specifics.
- Independently perform administrative tasks.
- Conduct observations and signal changes in patient behavior or well-being.
- Manage crisis admissions if they occur at night.
What they ask
- Nursing diploma level 4 or 5 (with valid BIG registration).
- Experience in adult psychiatry and affinity with acute care.
- Experience with complex psychological and/or psychiatric issues.
- Good social and communication skills.
- Ability to give and receive feedback.
- Flexibility and methodical work.
- Willingness to work night shifts according to schedule, including holidays.
