You are the financial brain and trusted advisor for multiple groups within a research institution. You actively contribute to financial issues and are part of a pleasant and informal team.
What you do
- Point of contact within the Finance & Control department for controlling activities such as budgeting, forecasting, multi-year trends, liquidity planning, and reporting to groups.
- Advisor and active contributor for various groups.
- Analyze financial (project) risks, support improvement projects, and make recommendations.
- Assess investments and large grant applications.
- Contribute to the preparation of cost price calculations for tariff determinations and audit controls.
- Advise management on strategic and long-term policy.
- Actively collaborate with direct colleagues to exchange expertise and further develop team spirit.
- Contribute to the professionalization of the Finance & Control department within an organization that contributes to important societal themes.
Profile
- HBO+/University level of thinking and working with a financial-economic orientation.
- Extensive experience with business control in a large, complex, project-oriented organization.
- Customer-oriented, hands-on approach, good communication skills, team player, connecting.
- Result-oriented, problem-solving, creative, proactive, and initiating attitude.
- Experience with Power-BI is a significant plus.
- Strong analytical skills, well-developed advisory skills, and organizational sensitivity.
- High degree of responsibility and ability to work independently.
- English language level C1, or willingness to achieve this level through the organization's language center.
