- The Adult team consists of GZ-psychologists, clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, nursing specialists, and psychiatrists.

- Treatment is short-term if possible, longer-term if necessary.
- The gender clinic provides care to people with gender identity issues and gender incongruence.
- Support for gender-affirming medical treatments when gender incongruence is present.
- The gender team consists of trained therapists who provide necessary care to people with gender-variant feelings and related problems.
What you do
- Psychodiagnostic research and psychological care for gender incongruent feelings and any comorbid disorders.
- Treat and guide clients from the regular clinic with often multiple complex problems, including personality issues.
- Treatments are recovery-oriented or supportive-structuring, depending on the nature and severity of the problems, given individually and in groups.
- Conduct intakes for adults, supported by psycho-diagnostic research if needed.
- Collaborate closely with GZ-psychologists, clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists within the team.
- Accurate registration of activities and documentation in the EPD.
- Maintain contact and collaborate with general practitioners, practice nurses, neighborhood team members, and other referrers.
- Participate enthusiastically in multidisciplinary case consultations internally with the own team, the gender team, and collaboration partners.
- Actively contribute to the development of the care offering.
- The role is twofold:
- Be part of the gender team, guiding (young) adults through gender exploration, coming-out, and social transition.
- Support the question of desired gender-affirming treatment and provide guidance before, during, and after such a process.
- Together with colleagues from the Adult team, provide care for adults from the regular clinic with diverse psychological/psychiatric problems.
What they ask
- Completed training as a clinical psychologist or psychotherapist and BIG registered.
- A plus: training and relevant work experience as a systemic therapist.
- Particular affinity with (young) adults with gender incongruence/gender dysphoria.
- A plus: experience with this target group, or at least an interest in deepening knowledge in transgender care.
- A plus: completed or started training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Affinity, knowledge, and experience with a broad target group, especially with anxiety and depressive mood disorders and personality disorders.
- Affinity with the organization's care offering.
- Proactive, innovative, and actively involved.
