What you do
- You will work on the online sports editorial team, creating stories for the app, website, and social media channels.
- You will collaborate with two other designers and (social) editors.
- Daily management falls under the head of the online sports editorial team, artistic direction by the head of design.
- You will work on productions with deadlines ranging from one to two days, and sometimes on longer-term projects of one to two weeks.
- You possess good social skills and can work independently.
- The organization values a diverse editorial team with an eye for different perspectives in the news.

- Experienced (online) designer with a passion for visual storytelling and editorial experience.

- At least several years of relevant work experience in design (visual, graphic, motion, ideally also UX/UI-design), preferably in a journalistic editorial office or a multidisciplinary team.
- HBO (higher professional education) thinking level.
- Experience as a freelancer for multiple clients.
- Proficient in software such as AfterEffects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of programs like ProCreate, Blender, Cinema4D, or Unity is a plus.
- Possesses a laptop with the necessary software.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings if required.
- Curious, proactive with ideas and proposals.
- Able to communicate plans and explain choices.
- Approachable, actively contributes to collegiality and a pleasant atmosphere.
- Reliable and a true team player.
- Good overview, independent planning, and accustomed to working with tight deadlines.
- Open to giving, receiving, and processing feedback.
Practical
- Hourly rate in consultation, including VAT and travel allowance.
- The role can be filled on a freelance basis or via a temporary contract.
