Residential Counselor Caregiver IG

FlevolandOn site36 hours/week<3months

A care organization is committed to people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Life can suddenly change due to a stroke, accident, tumor, or infection. You stand by these people, offer support where needed, and help them discover what is still possible.

What you do

  • You are a familiar face in the daily lives of residents.
  • You provide support with care.
  • You perform technical nursing procedures.
  • You help residents to remain as independent as possible, focusing on what they *can* still do.
  • Together with colleagues, you ensure support that suits the resident.
  • You identify changes and contribute ideas about what is needed.
  • With your attention, involvement, and sense of humor, you build a pleasant and trusted living environment.

Profile

  • You are (almost) in possession of a Caregiver IG diploma or an MBO level 3 or 4 diploma, such as MMZ or SPW.
  • You have no problem working irregular shifts.
  • You enthusiastically take on ADL (Activities of Daily Living) tasks where necessary, knowing that you directly contribute to the well-being and daily lives of people who can no longer do this themselves.

Practical

  • The care and support needs of the residents are diverse and require a specific and tailor-made care offering.
  • Sometimes this requires a lot of proximity, sometimes it can be done remotely.
  • Sometimes the emphasis is on somatic care questions, sometimes more on guidance and activation.
  • You work with colleagues who have a passion for care, residents, and each other.
  • Within the team, there is ample room for personal attention, discussing case studies, or asking for help when needed.
  • A good work/life balance is considered important.
  • The organization offers treatment, guidance, and care to people with ABI from multiple locations in the Central and Eastern Netherlands.
  • We believe in customization and your expertise is needed to get the best out of every situation together with clients, residents, and their loved ones.
  • You work with people - young adults to seniors - for whom life has suddenly changed after an accident, stroke, or brain injury.
  • There is a clear life before and after the brain injury - what once came naturally is now a challenge.
  • With the help of technology, we improve the quality of life, so you have more time for what truly matters: valuable care.
  • We look at what *is* possible, while you continue to grow by gaining new knowledge and experience.
