Information Management Officer
North HollandHybrid35 hours/week6-12months
The role is within a large public organization, specifically a defense component focused on helicopter operations. The team aims to optimize and professionalize information management within operational units, ensuring information is current, reliable, and discoverable. You will work independently within a team of information managers, business consultants, data analysts, and digitalization experts.
What you do
- Instructs and advises staff and commanders on creating, storing, using, sharing, archiving, and destroying information, ensuring it remains current, reliable
- Maps the information needs of operational units and investigates how these contribute to improved daily operations
- Researches the impact of new or modified information systems on operations and coordinates their implementation and any changes
- Identifies and addresses bottlenecks in information quality, reliability, and discoverability, ensuring improvements are made
- Initiates and monitors information management improvement measures
- Participates in project and working groups that enhance information processing and contributes to the implementation of new procedures and services
- Supports accreditation processes for information systems
- Oversees compliance with data protection regulations
- Translates technological innovations into practical possibilities to improve business processes
What they ask
- Minimum HBO diploma, preferably in Information Management, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business IT & Management, or a comparable ICT education with a Business IT & Management profile
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role
- Affinity with information management and/or business operations, with knowledge of administrative organization, process management, and information management
- Experience with and insight into the latest ICT possibilities and market developments
- Ability to analyze business processes and translate corresponding information needs into concrete advice and applications for information provision
- Enjoys working collaboratively in a team/project context and has an affinity for both systems and people
- Has an eye for laws and regulations regarding information security and GDPR
- Proficient in Dutch, both written and spoken
- Identifies with the following competencies: initiative, communication, analysis, planning and organizing, customer-oriented
- Dutch nationality
Practical
- A mandatory security screening and reference check (upon request) are part of the selection procedure
- You must take an oath or promise for civilian employees of the organization
- The elaboration and presentation of a case may be part of the application procedure
