Staff Advisor Physical Domain

As a staff advisor for the Physical Domain, you are a strategic advisor and sparring partner for the management of a government organization. You identify developments, bottlenecks, and opportunities within the physical domain and translate these into concrete advice. You pay attention to the coherence between content, organization, and administrative ambitions and provide support for complex issues and choices affecting the domain.

You contribute to the further professionalization of the physical domain by continuously improving processes, working methods, and collaboration. You analyze how activities can be organized more effectively and efficiently and advise on optimizations within the domain and on issues affecting multiple domains. In doing so, you bring people, interests, and tasks together and ensure connection between different parts of the organization.

Additionally, you support the management team of the Physical Domain in the careful preparation, execution, and follow-up of decision-making. You monitor the progress of agreements and provide insight into the progress of tasks and results. With a good overview of ongoing developments, reliable management information, and sharp control over planning, you help the management team make informed decisions and realize them effectively.

What you will do.

  • Advise and support the management team in decision-making regarding processes and steering, and ensure follow-up.
  • Identify bottlenecks in processes and contribute to further development and improvement.
  • Set up and optimize business processes to serve the content.
  • Oversee the P&C cycle, administrative planning, and council agenda, and ensure timely delivery of necessary contributions from the Physical Domain.
  • Support sector managers, upon request, with complex issues and projects.
  • Act as the link between the own domain and other domains regarding organization-wide issues.

You support the management team in the careful preparation, execution, and follow-up of decision-making, monitor the progress of agreements, and provide insight into the progress of tasks and results. With an overview of ongoing developments, reliable management information, and sharp control over planning, you help the management team make informed decisions and realize them.

What they ask

  • Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years in the role of staff advisor, business consultant, or executive secretary.
  • Demonstrably willing to be physically available on-site for at least 3 days a week, with Tuesday being a fixed presence requirement.
  • Candidate agrees to the stipulated secondment conditions.
  • The client will request a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
  • The 'Bring Your Own Device' principle applies to this assignment. The candidate will use their own IT resources (laptop, phone, and associated accessories) for the execution of the assignment.

Preferences.

  • Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of WO bachelor level.
  • Demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years with a Product & Control cycle within the government.
  • Demonstrable work experience in preparing and drafting advice for management.
  • Demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with working with Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years in the role of staff advisor, business consultant, or executive secretary.
