As a researcher, you work on practice-oriented research that contributes to a future-proof economy and society. You move between research, education, and practice, ensuring that insights not only generate new knowledge but are also directly applicable to professionals, organizations, and governments. You work on research projects where broad well-being is central, investigating issues related to social earning capacity, equal opportunities in learning and working, and the social aspect of the circular economy.

Together with colleagues, students, and partners from professional practice, you develop knowledge that helps organizations make sustainable and future-proof choices. You are given ample space to initiate research projects, build new collaborations, and actively contribute to the further development of a knowledge center.

What you do

  • Setting up and conducting practice-oriented research into societal issues
  • Developing research designs and performing data collection, for example via questionnaires, interviews, workshops, or other participatory research methods
  • Analyzing research data and translating it into applicable advice, action perspectives, and knowledge products for organizations, governments
  • Initiating and contributing to grant applications, consortium formation, and the development of new research and innovation projects
  • Collaborating with municipalities, companies, social organizations, and other partners on current societal issues
  • Sharing research results via reports, presentations, publications, and knowledge meetings
  • Involving students and lecturer-researchers in research projects and translating research results into education

Profile

You are a curious researcher who is energized by societal issues and seeks to connect research, education, and practice. You enjoy collaborating with diverse partners and know how to translate research insights into solutions that help organizations and professionals. You work independently, take initiative, and see opportunities to develop new research projects and collaborations.

You feel at home in an environment where different disciplines come together and where there is room to contribute to the further development of the knowledge center.

  • A completed master's degree in a relevant field; a PhD is a plus
  • Demonstrable experience with practice-oriented research
  • Affinity with the concept of broad well-being and one or more research themes of the knowledge center
  • Experience with or affinity for applying for grants and/or conducting contract research
  • A relevant network or the ambition to further build it
  • Affinity with providing bachelor's education and supervising students
