The customs department of a logistics service provider is looking for a manager. You will lead the department and be responsible for guiding and coaching the team. Your commitment ensures that team members achieve their objectives and execute customs processes efficiently and flawlessly. You play a crucial role in the success of logistics services for various clients.
What you will do.
- Lead a team of approximately 15 experienced and starting customs declarants, assisted by a Customs Supervisor.
- Responsible for the development of the customs product.
- Ensure customs compliance policy.
- Coordinate operational customs processes.
- Pay attention to questions, wishes, and needs of the (internal) customer.
- Coach, train, and advise customs colleagues.
- Provide guidelines on the latest laws and regulations.
- Work closely with management to discuss team developments and successfully execute projects.
- Maintain regular contact with fellow brokerage managers from other regions.
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
- Successfully completed Customs and Trade Compliance Coordinator (Evo Fenedex) training or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a managerial position.
- Strong analytical skills and willingness to keep professional knowledge up to date.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Proactive, open to varied tasks, service-oriented, and considerate of the needs of others.
- Accurate and timely information delivery and clear, factual communication.
- Well-informed about relevant developments in laws and regulations.
- The ability to provide a VGB (Certificate of No Objection) is a requirement.
