As a strategic contract manager Facility Management (FM), you will oversee one of the most important multiservice contracts of a government organization. You will manage performance, quality, risks, finances, innovation, and collaboration with suppliers.
At the same time, you will be the deputy sector manager and thus the strategic sparring partner for the sector manager. You advise at management level on the direction, development, and innovation of the organization's facility services, help shape tactical choices, and implement improvements from idea to execution.
What you do
- Your role consists of 2 equal pillars: contract management and strategic co-management of Facility Management.
- You are the contract manager for the multiservice contract covering security, catering, and cleaning, among others. This is one of the two largest and most impactful contracts within the sector.
- You provide strategic direction and ensure that the services demonstrably contribute to the organization's goals.
- You manage quality, monitor progress, analyze performance, and translate organizational goals into contract management and improvement initiatives.
- Within the sector, you have a coordinating and connecting role. For contract managers, you are a content-based sparring partner and ensure good alignment between contract management, supplier management, data analysis, and integrated facility services.
- As deputy sector manager, you are the main sparring partner for the sector manager. You contribute to the direction, vision, priorities, and further development of the sector, and implement these together.
- You smoothly translate trends, innovations, and developments into feasible improvements within Facility Management.
- You connect colleagues, disciplines, and external partners, and involve people in changes, new working methods, and decisions.
- You replace the sector manager in their absence, taking responsibility for personnel, finances, and administrative, political, and organizational issues.
- You are a discussion partner for peer government authorities, directors of external partners, participate in a collaborative body, and guide interns and graduates.

- You are a strong discussion partner at strategic and management level, with experience in multiservice contracts.
- You connect people, interests, and disciplines, such as contract management, data analysis, and facility services.
- You ensure good alignment between these disciplines and are a valuable resource for contract managers.
- You take responsibility, stimulate innovation, and dare to make independent decisions.
- You have experience in managing teams or professionals, formally or from a content-leading role.

- University (WO) level of work and thinking, preferably in a facility, business administration, or similar direction.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience within facility management, contract management, or a comparable domain.
- Demonstrable experience with strategic advising and stakeholder management.
- Experience with contract and supplier management, preferably with complex or integrated contracts.
- Affinity with sustainability, hybrid working, data-driven management, and technological developments.
