You will work within a knowledge center that is part of a support command. This command focuses on the quality of Command & Control and Cyber capabilities in land operations and is the authority in terms of direction and knowledge regarding the C2 support chain.
What you do
- Manage a network within or in support of experiments
- Monitor the network, resolve malfunctions, and safeguard the integration of hardware and network software
- Collaborate with specialists from internal IT services and C2-supporting elements of operational units
- Identify and regulate peak loads and propose improvements
- Contribute to the development, execution, and evaluation of network-related experiments
- Provide input for experiment proposals and scenarios
- Develop simulations, evaluate trials, and suggest improvements
- Ensure the experimental environment remains operational
- Keep simulation tools ready for use, coordinate availability schedules, and manage necessary components and materials
- Perform tasks in the field of cryptomanagement
What they ask
- MBO 4 level, preferably in ICT
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in network administration and problem and error management in Wide Area Networks and Local Area Networks
- Knowledge and experience working in a Microsoft ecosystem (must)
- Knowledge and experience with LINUX (a plus)
- Dutch nationality (for security screening)
- Willingness to undergo a security screening (VGB)
- Ability to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG)
