Purchasing Manager

• Responsible for implementing an optimal purchasing policy, monitoring the quality and lead time of services provided, including the aspect of sustainability.
• Supporting buyers and taking on purchasing projects yourself, in accordance with public procurement legislation.
• Developing and maintaining professional relationships, negotiating purchasing conditions and framework agreements.
• Thoroughly analyzing data related to different product categories to identify savings opportunities and work on bundling product groups with a limited number of suppliers.
• Contributing to achieving purchasing objectives and increasing cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborating multidisciplinarily with various departments to determine user needs and requirements, including market research and monitoring new market developments.
• Contributing to the further development and optimization of the SAP ERP package, in close cooperation with the financial department.
• As a department head, coach and motivate your team members, guide them in their professional development, and ensure that objectives are clear and supported.
• From your expertise, take on a role in various working groups, both internal and external.

What they ask

• Master's degree or equivalent by experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing and several years of experience in People management.
• Goal-oriented negotiator and spontaneous team player.
• Preferably, experience and knowledge of public procurement law.
• Analytical talent with a dynamic attitude, and able to inspire the team.
